Cinematography can be given a simple definition as moving picture photography. Cinematography is the making of lighting and camera choices when recording photographic images for cinema.

ORIGIN

The concept of photography was first discovered by ARISTOTLE during the 6th century. When a ray of light entered a dark room through a spot on the wall, the sharp light ray seemed to produce an image of the object placed before. This concept paved way for what turned out to be one of mankind’s greatest discoveries – “THE CAMERA”. CAMERA OBSCURA made by Robert boyle in 1670 was the world’s first camera.
“The style of photography should grow out of the story, and the director should be aware of what he wants and be able to convey it in precise terms to the cameraman” – Satyajit Ray
