Vidya Balan to act in Arival Chuttika Nakshathram

After a serious casting process, Amal Neerad seems to fix Vidya Balan for his new movie 'Arival Chuttika Nakshathram'. Amal has already discussed the matter with Vidya. Reports reveal that Vidya has accepted the role after hearing the story and character. Malayalam superstar Mammootty and youth icon Prithviraj were already fixed for the movie.

Vidya has acted with Prithvi earlier in Santosh Sivan's 'Urumi'. Mammootty will play the hero and Prithviraj will appear as a villain in the new movie. Arival Chuttika Nakshathram will be third movie in which the duo is sharing the screen space after 'One Way Ticket' and 'Pokkiri Raja'.

The film, scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan and produced by Santhosh Sivan, Prithviraj and Shaji Natesan under the banner of August Cinema, is said to be a period drama set in the pre-Independence era of the 1930s and 40s when the Communist movement started in Kerala. Gopi Sunder will compose the music for Rafeeque Ahmed's lyrics. Amal Neerad himself does the cinematography for the movie.
